Hello Cottonwood Families,
Welcome to a new school year at Cottonwood Elementary! My name is Mr. Jeff Hunt. It is an honor to serve as your Principal alongside our Assistant Principal, Mrs. Jennifer Primrose. We are excited to welcome you and your child to what promises to be an exceptional year of learning, growth, and opportunity.
At Cottonwood, we believe every child is Built for More. Every student has unique talents, limitless potential, and the ability to make a positive impact on the world around them. Our mission is to provide a safe, caring, and engaging learning environment where students are inspired to discover their strengths, challenge themselves, and grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
This year, our commitment is to ensure that every child experiences high quality instruction, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to succeed every day. We believe that students achieve their greatest success when they feel connected, valued, supported, and empowered to reach beyond what they thought was possible.
Just as every strong building begins with a solid foundation, every successful school is built on strong partnerships between home and school. Families are an essential part of the Cottonwood community, and we invite you to be actively involved throughout the year by volunteering, participating in the Parent Teacher Club (PTC), School Site Council (SSC), English Learner Advisory Council (ELAC), and joining us for the many events and celebrations that make our school so special.
Open communication, trust, and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do. You will see us throughout campus; in classrooms, at school events, and connecting with students and families each day. Our doors are always open because we believe that listening, learning, and working together creates the best possible experience for every child.
At Cottonwood, we are building more than academic success. We are building confidence, character, resilience, leadership, and a lifelong love of learning. Together, we will create experiences that inspire students to dream big, work hard, support one another, and believe in what they can accomplish.
